naturalism

Philosophical Naturalism. only the physical world that we can see touch see hear exists. If we can't measure it; it doesn't exist. No God, no human spirit.

The cosmos is all there is, ever was, or ever will be. Science is dominated by naturalism. Modernism removed authority of God and put it on humans - with that came promises of utopia through sexual freedom (Sanger, Frued), economic determinism (Marx). Post-modernism by and large is still modernistic - they don't like man being in charge, but instead of God they use community. No one has the right to say anything is wrong or right. Only different.

The enlightenment embedded naturalism in all major cultural institutions of western civ: law, politics, education, sociology, science and technology.

Best thing to do is always ask questions. Respond like Jesus with a better questions.

What do you mean by that? How do you know that's true? What's that assuming about reality?

Worldviews have feet. Christianity has become a religion of the heart, not the head.
